'Birthers' won't back down – Obama eligibility battle at next level

The White House has moved on to its discussion phase of the "open government dialogue," where several citizens are once again calling on Barack Obama to release his elusive "long-form" birth certificate to establish his constitutional eligibility to serve as president.

It's the Economy Stupid

By Karl Rove

Tomorrow will likely bring more bad news for President Barack Obama on the number one issue for voters -- the economy. The Labor Department's monthly job report will almost certainly show unemployment topping 9%, with a couple hundred thousand more jobs lost in May.

It will get worse before jobs get better. Congressional Budget Director Douglas W. Elmendorf recently predicted that unemployment will continue rising into the second half of next year and peak above 10%.

Mr. Obama has an ingenious approach to job losses: He describes them as job gains. For example, last week the president claimed that 150,000 jobs had been created or saved because of his stimulus package. He boasted, "And that's just the beginning."

However, at the beginning of January, 134.3 million people were employed. At the start of May, 132.4 million Americans were working. How was Mr. Obama magically able to conjure this loss of 1.9 million jobs into an increase of 150,000 jobs?

Obama Claims He Won't Run GM, Then Explains How He Will Run GM

By Rush Limbaugh

I don't believe what I just heard except that I believe it. I can't believe I'm hearing it spoken by a leader in the United States of America, but of course I have to believe it because I heard it. But I still don't believe it. I cannot believe it! The news was depressing enough today before Obama gets up to announce how he doesn't want to run General Motors as he lays out how he's going to run General Motors. Good grief, my friends -- oh, ho-ho. Welcome to broadcast excellence hosted by me, Rush Limbaugh. Here we are on the EIB Network. Great to have you with us. The telephone number, 800-282-2882.

Cookie, get me -- and if nothing else, get me the last five minutes of what Obama said just now in his little announcement of the government taking over General Motors. I'm going to paraphrase it, but I want you to hear it yourself. Man, oh, man, oh, man. Folks, he just told the adult generation today that your life is not going to improve before you die. He just said things are not going to improve before you die, that what we're doing today is your sacrifice for your children and your grandchildren, that there are going to be further plant closings, there are going to be further job losses, there are going to be further dealership closings.

Stop Obama's USA Anti-Sovereignty Nomination of Legal Advisor to the State Department

Hello Intelligent Thinker.

Harold Koh has been nominated by President Obama to serve as the next Legal Adviser to the Department of State. However, Harold Koh is an outspoken believer in "transnationalism", the idea that AMERICAN courts should apply and honor the laws of other nations.
Koh favors foreign law over American law.

The State Department Legal Adviser is the voice of the United States around the world on international legal issues. Among other responsibilities, the Legal Adviser:

(1) is involved in the negotiation, drafting, and interpretation of treaties, U.N. Security Council resolutions, and General Assembly resolutions

(2) represents the United States in international negotiations, at international organizations, and before the International Court of Justice

(3) interprets and seeks to develop international law.

Wheres the Birth Certificate? ....Obama?

WASHINGTON – As WND's billboard campaign to raise visibility of the issues surrounding Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility yesterday continued to attract eager donors, the president had this to say: "I will never hide the truth because it is uncomfortable."

"On all of these matters related to the disclosure of sensitive information, I wish I could say that there is a simple formula," Obama said. "But there is not. These are tough calls involving competing concerns, and they require a surgical approach. But the common thread that runs through all of my decisions is simple: we will safeguard what we must to protect the American people, but we will also ensure the accountability and oversight that is the hallmark of our constitutional system.

I will never hide the truth because it is uncomfortable. I will deal with Congress and the courts as co-equal branches of government. I will tell the American people what I know and don’t know, and when I release something publicly or keep something secret, I will tell you why."

Joseph Farah, WND's editor and chief executive officer, reacted to Obama's statement in stunned amazement (see the rest of this story through the "billboard" link above).
