Boston Globe reporter withholds Obama file

President's official birth narrative doesn't match up with INS reports

A Boston Globe reporter sympathetic to Barack Obama apparently received favored access to the immigration file of the president's father.

In writing her biography of Barack Obama's father, Boston Globe reporter Sally H. Jacobs had access to what appears to be the father's unredacted Immigration and Naturalization Service file. The documents cover the time Barack Obama Sr. arrived in Honolulu in 1959 until he was forced to leave the United States in 1964.

However, the redacted file the Department of Homeland Security provided in an Freedom of Information Act request to independent reporter Heather Smathers whited-out key facts about the president's birth narrative, judging from the one unredacted page WND has obtained.

Get the inside details on what could be the most serious constitutional crisis in the nation's history in "Where's the Birth Certificate? The Case That Barack Obama is Not Eligible to be President."

Jacobs, in a telephone interview with WND, said she got a "less redacted" file than Smathers appears to have received.

Jacobs refused to share with WND the less-redacted file or to post it on the Internet as Smathers has done with her file.

"Why would I do that?" Jacobs asked.

WND suggested it would be in the public interest to have available for study the additional information her less-redacted file might contain.

Jacobs suggested WND needed to make that request in a FOIA to DHS.

"I'm sure they will give you what they gave me," she said.

WND's own FOIA request is in process.

Jacob's refusal to make the file public is reminiscent of Sen. John Kerry's decision in 2005 to sign Standard Form 180, releasing his Navy Records only to the Boston Globe, known to be a newspaper favorable to Kerry, not to the U.S. public at large.

As WND reported, Kerry's Navy records became an issue in the 2004 presidential campaign after more than 260 Vietnam veterans who served in his swift boat section launched an effort to counter many of the senator's claims about his war service.

Put up for adoption?

Close examination of the unredacted page obtained by WND, which Jacobs obviously used to write her biography, shows it contained key information relevant to the Obama nativity story that was whited out in the copy sent to Smathers.

On page 122 of her biography, "The Other Barack: The Bold and Reckless Life of President Obama's Father," Jacobs revealed that Barack Obama Sr. and Ann Dunham had considered giving up their son for adoption:

According to the INS memo concerning her April conversation with Dahling, the INS administrator, 'Subject [Obama] got his USC [United Sates citizen] wife 'Hapai' [pidgin for pregnant] and although they were married they do not live together and Miss Dunham is making arrangements with the Salvation Army to give the baby away.

Exhibit 1 shows the unredacted INS file from which Jacobs worked to obtain the information.

Clearly, the redaction was designed to eliminate the information that Barack Obama Sr. and Ann Dunham considered putting baby Barack Obama Jr. up for adoption with the Salvation Army.

Furthermore, the unredacted version of the memo documents that the INS was aware of the adoption possibility as early as April 10, 1961, four months before the baby was born.

A familiar face or MIA?

The information in Jacobs' version of the document is consistent with other documentation that contradicts President Obama's narrative of his early life. He has claimed that Barack Obama Sr. and Ann Dunham lived together with him as a family in Hawaii until September 1962, when Barack Obama Sr. left Hawaii to go to Harvard University to begin graduate studies in economics.

As recently as April 20, only a week before Obama released from the White House what he claimed was a scan of his original long-form 1961 birth certificate, Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie was insisting to Fox News that he was in Hawaii when Obama was born.

Abercrombie personal testimony was an attempt to verify that Honolulu was the place of Obama's birth, even though under questioning he admitted he was not literally at the hospital to witness the birth.

Abercrombie's revised story was that he "first laid eyes on baby Obama a few days after he was born," supposedly when Obama's parents introduced the newborn to friends at the University of Hawaii, where Abercrombie and Obama Sr. were students.

"We not only saw him and were with them, but were introduced to him of course at our gatherings, our student gatherings," Abercrombie said on April 20. "And of course over the years then as he was raised by his mother and his grandparents we of course saw him frequently because he was with his grandfather all the time."

By these statements, Abercrombie claimed to know the Obama family quite well.

Abercrombie's point apparently was to affirm Barack Obama Sr., Ann Dunham and the baby were seen and introduced commonly at the University of Hawaii.

But the document cited in Jacobs' biography published some three months later, in July, contradict Abercrombie's claims about the Obama family.

Jacobs wrote on page 118 that Obama Sr. "said nothing of his new girl friend [Stanley Ann Dunham] to most of his friends on campus."

Still, on the same page, Jacobs quotes Abercrombie, who insists Obama Sr. brought Dunham with him to parties at the university.

But, as if to explain why university students didn't consider them to be married, Jacobs quotes Abercrombie as saying that Dunham tended to sit quietly beside Obama Sr., as she spoke little and "instead listened closely as the men – and it was mostly men at their gatherings – argued and laughed."

Jacobs documents no incident in which Dunham brought baby Obama to the university to engage in social events with her husband and the baby's father.

WND has separately documented that Dunham left Hawaii within a few weeks of the baby's birth to attend on-campus evening classes at the University of Washington in Seattle. She did not return to Hawaii until after Barack Obama Sr. left the islands in September 1962.

Jacobs first revealed that Obama Sr. and Dunham had considered putting the baby up for adoption with the Salvation Army when she wrote an article in the Boston Globe titled "Father spoke of having Obama adopted," published July 7.

Jacob recounts in her book how she found the INS file for Obama, Sr.: "In a storage facility in Lee's Summit, Missouri, where the paper records of what was once called the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service are stored, there is a folder bearing the name Barack H. Obama, alien registration number A11938537, which contained memos stretching from the time he arrived in Honolulu in 1959 until he was forced to leave Cambridge, Massachusetts, against his will in 1964."

Retired Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely, the chief of Stand Up America, a national security expert and Fox News contributor, says the "Certificate of Live Birth" released in April by the White House as "proof positive" of President Obama's Hawaiian birth is a forgery, but the FBI is covering the fraud and no one in Congress is willing to tackle the situation because of fears of a "black backlash" if the failings of the nation's first black president are revealed.

In an interview today with Greg Corombos for WND, Vallely, who previously has expressed concerns about whether the Obama administration is in violation of the U.S. Constitution, said, "His actual birth certificate has never been found in Hawaii nor released from Hawaii hospital there, Kapiolani hospital there, if it in fact did exist."

"We've had three CIA agents, retired, and some of their analytical associates look at it, and all came to the same conclusion, that even the long-form was a forged document," Vallely said.

"No members of Congress will take this on. The word I get out of Washington is that they don't want to challenge this because it would be in fact a felony offense and in some cases may be even treasonous and [they are] afraid of a black backlash from some of the urban areas," Vallely said.

"But that's a very poor excuse for not taking necessary steps to make sure this president in fact is a legitimate president under Article 2 and he is a born U.S. citizen."

The departments of government designed to uncover wrongdoing, in this case, are on the wrong side, he said.

"I think they're (the FBI) covering for this administration. I think the corruption within this administration is so proliferated through the agencies of government now, we're just in a bad situation here. I think the lack of confidence in our government is growing and many feel that not only all the members of Congress but even our courts are corrupted at this time," he said.

The questions over Obama's eligibility to occupy the Oval Office under the requirements in the Constitution that call for a "natural born citizen" have been raised since before he was elected.

Numerous lawsuits have been filed and challenges organized but none have uncovered Obama's documentation. For most of the past few years, his supporters relied on an online image of a Hawaiian short-form "Certification of Live Birth" as proof of his Hawaiian birth, claiming it was the only documentation available from the state.

However, just as the New York Times best-seller, "Where's the Birth Certificate: The Case that Barack Obama is not Eligible to be President," by Jerome Corsi, Ph.D., was about to be released, Obama dispatched a private attorney to Hawaii to fetch the supposed long-form "Certificate of Live Birth" and explained that the record now would include the full documentation available from Hawaii.

The original hard-copy birth document, whatever it actually is, has never been seen by the public.

Corsi told WND, "The list is growing of those openly acknowledging the Obama long-form birth certificate released by the White House on April 27 is a forgery.

"That former CIA agents are beginning to weigh in on the White House forgery is important. Too many experts remain afraid to speak out about what is an obvious forgery, fearful that openly speaking out against Obama will hurt their income. That Gen. Vallely has now spoken out shows the cracks are widening around the White House façade that the Obama birth certificate is a legitimate document."

He said, "Vallely is right in saying that millions of Americans are still trying to find out who Barack Obama is.

"The cover-up in Hawaii is still continuing. Every professional forensic document examiner knows the best evidence of the Obama long-form birth certificate is not the electronic Adobe file released on the White House website, but the original document the Hawaii DOH is still hiding in its vault, unwilling to let the public see it with their own eyes. Why won't the White House allow a team of independent professional forensic document examiners inspect and authenticate the original birth certificate document? It makes no sense — unless of course there is no long-form birth certificate in the Hawaii DOH vault."

When Obama released the purported long-form certificate, officials in the Hawaii Department of Health and governor's office refused to simply confirm to WND that the image being presented by Obama was an accurate representation of the records maintained by the state.

Vallely said the document should "thoroughly be analyzed by resident FBI officials and analysts to determine if in fact and validate whether it's forged or real."

"One of the apparent flaws in that document was they listed Kenya as the place of birth of Obama's father, but Kenya was not an established country at that time," he noted.

"There's still a lot of controversy about it, and some of us would just like to have this thing clearly authenticated."

He also cited one of the many issues raised by document experts who have challenged the "birth certificate's" authenticity – the layering in the Adobe computer file.

And Vallely said he knows some would not be satisfied with anything the Obama administration would release, which is a problem, in itself, for the White House.

"That's true, because they don't believe he is eligible. You have a fairly growing contingent out there."

Vallely also made similar statements in an online radio program in which he supported Lakin, the Army doctor who refused orders because neither the military nor the White House would document Obama's eligibility. He spent five months in Fort Leavenworth and only recently was released. His comments start at about 3:30 of the YouTube video:

There, Vallely said, "Obama's birth certificate – I've had retired CIA agents and other investigators go over the birth certificate that was produced and by far, 10 out of 10 have said it's a forgery. So we still have that corruptness going on in the White House. There's a great number of organizations and people still trying to find out who Barack Obama is, where he was born, what his legitimacy is as president of the United States. We know for sure that the Constitution has been violated in Article 2, particularly when you look at the natural-born status."

Only one day earlier, officials in the state of Hawaii claimed that the original of the Obama 'birth certificate' document – the document posted online by the White House – remains "confidential" and cannot be produced in response to a subpoena in a lawsuit over Obama's legitimacy.

The image released by Obama has been challenged by a number of document imaging analysts as a fraud, and it doesn't align with descriptions of it by Obama supporters.

For instance, two weeks before Obama finally released his "long-form birth certificate," Hawaii's former Health Department chief Chiyome Fukino – the one official who claimed to have examined the original birth document under lock and key in Hawaii – was interviewed by NBC News' national investigative correspondent Michael Isikoff, who reported that Fukino told him she had seen the original birth certificate and that it was "half typed and half handwritten."

However, the document released by the White House was entirely typed. Only the signatures and two dates at the very bottom were "handwritten." What Fukino described apparently is a different document from what Obama released to the public.

Obama's top dog: Pat Robertson is like Osama bin Laden

President Obama's faith adviser, Eboo Patel, likened television evangelist Pat Robertson to Osama bin Laden, calling both "totalitarians" who worked collectively against coexistence.

The statements by Patel mark the latest in a series of controversial remarks by the faith adviser to be reported by WND, including comments against the U.S. and Christianity.

In February 2010, Obama named Patel to his Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships.

Patel, a Muslim activist, is the founder and executive director of Chicago-based Interfaith Youth Core, which says it promotes pluralism by teaming people of different faiths on service projects.

Here's the rundown on Obama's ties to "communists, socialists and other anti-American extremists" – all in "The Manchurian President."

In his 2007 book, "Acts of Faith: The Story of an American Muslim, the Struggle for the Soul of a Generation," reviewed by WND, Patel compared Robertson to the now late al-Qaida chief.

Wrote Patel: "Religious totalitarians have the unique advantage of being able to oppose each other and work together at the same time.

"Osama bin Laden says that Christians are out to destroy Muslims. Pat Robertson says that Muslims want only to dominate Christians. Bin Laden points to Pat Robertson as evidence of his case. Robertson points to bin Laden as proof of his."

Continued Patel: "Bin Laden says he is moving Muslims to his side of the faith line. Robertson claims he is moving Christians to his. But if you look from a certain angle, you see that they are not on opposite sides at all. They are right next to each other, standing shoulder to shoulder, a most unlikely pair, two totalitarians working collectively against the dream of a common life together."

Patel failed to point out bin Laden incited violence and directed and planned terrorism targeting civilians, while Robertson routinely condemns terrorism.

Robertson is the founder of numerous organizations and corporations, including the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), and the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN).

He is the host of The 700 Club, which airs on cable channels throughout the United States and on CBN affiliates worldwide.

Robertson has referred to Islam as "Satanic" and a "violent political system bent on the overthrow of the governments of the world and world domination."

This is not the first time Patel has likened Christianity to al-Qaida.

WND reported two weeks ago Patel compared al-Qaida to what he called Christian "totalitarians" in the U.S. and Jewish "totalitarians" in Israel.

WND also reported Patel declared that everything he was taught about Christopher Columbus, Thomas Jefferson and American "fairness" and "equality" was wrong.

Earlier, WND reported Patel blasted what he called the "myths" of America – describing them as beliefs that the country is "a land of freedom and equality and justice."

Patel explained how he used the "faith-based movement" to channel his rage at America "in a direction far more compassionate and far more merciful."

Patel further implied that had he grown up in the 1960s, he may have joined the Weather Underground terrorist group led by William Ayers.

Like Obama, Patel is deeply tied to Ayers.

In 2005, he co-authored a book with Ayers' adopted son, Chesa Boudin.

The book, "Letters from Young Activists: Today's Rebels Speak Out," was co-written by several young radicals, including Ismail Khalidi, the son of Columbia University Professor Rashid Khalidi.

WND was the first to report on Obama's close relationship with Khalidi, who has been tied to the Palestinian Liberation Organization and who has described Israel as a "racist" state with an "apartheid" system.

The preface of Patel's 2005 book, meanwhile, was written by Ayers' wife, Weather Underground co-founder Bernardine Dohrn.

Dohrn describes the book as "a clarion call of hope, defiance, critical analysis, humor, irony, and self-conscious insistence that the queer, the Palestinian, the immigrant, the privileged, the children of prisoners and hip-hopsters have arrived."

The back cover of the book boasts an endorsement from Mumia Abu-Jamal, the convicted cop-killer and former member of the Black Panther Party.

On the acknowledgments page, Patel and co-authors thank Ayers himself for "guidance" and "encouragement."

Hamas co-conspirator

Patel is part of the official speaker's bureau of the Islamic Society of North America, an unindicted co-conspirator in a scheme to raise money for Hamas.

From his own comments, Patel apparently is a member of ISNA. Upon the August 2007 election of the group's president, Ingrid Mattson, Patel told USA Today, "I'm proud to have her elected as my president."

Patel also served last year on a panel at ISNA's annual convention in Washington.

He has written columns for the Washington Post and Huffington Post that promote ISNA events.

Ground Zero mosque

Patel is also tied to Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the controversial Islamic leader behind the proposed $100 million, 13-story Islamic cultural center and mosque two blocks from the site of the 9/11 attacks.

Rauf wrote the afterword to Patel's 2006 book, "Building the Interfaith Youth Movement: Beyond Dialogue to Action."

Patel is listed as one of 15 "Muslim Leaders of Tomorrow" on the website for the American Society for Muslim Advancement, which is led by Rauf.

In Patel's 2007 book, "Saving Each Other, Saving Ourselves," he recounts discussing with Rauf the future of Islam in the U.S.

Rauf "understood the vision immediately and suggested that I visit him and his wife, Daisy Khan, at their home the following evening," Patel recalled.

Khan founded the society with her husband and has aided him in his plans for the mosque near Ground Zero.

"The living room of their apartment on the Upper West Side was set up like a mosque, with prayer rugs stretched from wall to wall," wrote Patel in his book.

Continued Patel: "I arrived at dusk, prayed the maghrib prayer with Daisy and Imam Feisal and then talked with them about how America, with its unique combination of religious devotion and religious diversity, was the ideal place for a renewal of Islam.

"In the 20th century, Catholicism and Judaism underwent profound transformations in America," Patel observed. "I think, this century, in America, Islam will do the same."

'Critical mass' of Muslims in U.S.

"Islam is a religion that has always been revitalized by its migration," Patel wrote. "America is a nation that has been constantly rejuvenated by immigrants. There is now a critical mass of Muslims in America."

Patel last March wrote a Huffington Post piece referring to Obama's former "green jobs" czar Van Jones as a "faith hero."

"In my last post on Van, I called him an American patriot," wrote Patel. "That is high praise in my book. But watching Van's speech at the NAACP, I have another title for him, one that I reserve for the true giants of history. Van Jones is a faith hero."

Jones resigned in September after it was exposed he founded a communist revolutionary organization and signed a statement that accused the Bush administration of possible involvement in the Sept. 11 attacks. Jones also called for "resistance" against the U.S.

Jones previously stated his advocacy for green jobs was part of a broader movement to destroy the U.S. capitalist system.

WND reported that one day after the Sept. 11 attacks, Jones led a vigil that expressed solidarity with Arab and Muslim Americans as well as with what he called the victims of "U.S. imperialism" around the world.

MAYBE DOOMSDAY IS NEAR

Bible prophecy may have a bad name in the light of Harold Camping's misguided date-setting, but the biggest sign of the end may have been overlooked in all the rapture hysteria of last weekend.

Once again, we've seen the U.S. hit with a series of deadly superstorms following Barack Obama's pledge to return Israel to pre-1967 borders.

Just days after Obama insisted Israel must give up lands it won through military victory with its enemies, some 200 people were killed by a tornado in Joplin, Mo.

There's a pattern here.

We saw it in Katrina, when George Bush forced Israel's withdrawal from Gaza. In fact, as everyone from Israeli rabbis to U.S. senators have noted, it seems to happen every single time the U.S. pressures Israel to divide the land.

The phenomenon was best documented by Bill Koenig, author of "Eye to Eye: Facing the Consequences of Dividing Israel."

Koenig points out that nine of the 10 costliest insurance events in U.S. history followed dramatic calls by U.S. officials for Israel to make land concessions in bids for peace with its neighbors. He points out with startling detail how six of the seven costliest hurricanes in U.S. history followed such events. He points out how three of the four largest tornado outbreaks in U.S. history followed such developments.

Earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, even terrorist attacks have hit America often within 24 hours of calls by U.S. officials for Israel to withdraw from Jewish land.

What does this have to do with prophecy?

It goes right back to Genesis and God's pledge to bless those who bless the children of Israel and curse those who curse them.

That is a prophecy that has seen every empire of the world come and go – yet Israel remains. It may be chastened by God. It may be dispersed. It may be divided according to His will. But God has punished every nation that has come against Israel. Each one has been judged.

You can choose to believe it or not. It won't make any difference.

But he that touches the apple of God's eye will pay a price: "For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye." – Zechariah 2:8

If you want to understand prophecy, don't listen to Harold Camping – keep your eye on Israel and study your Bible.

In God's economy, there is Israel and then there are the other nations.

It was through Israel He chose to reveal Himself to the world – eventually through the birth, life, death and resurrection of His own Son.

And His Son is coming back to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. It's no surprise where He will return and where He will reign – in Jerusalem.

Trying to understand God and His Son Yeshua apart from Israel is a tall order – because that's how He revealed Himself to us.

His ways are not our ways, and our ways are not His ways.

We can only understand Him through His revelation.

I don't know exactly what date He will be coming back.

I'm not sure exactly when He is going to call out His children.

But I do know it's near.

I know it's near because Israel has been rebirthed as a nation – a prerequisite that simply wasn't in place until 63 years ago.

The Bible predicts all kind of turbulence and chaos surrounding Israel in the latter days. It will nearly be destroyed. But Israel's long-awaited Messiah will save it. He will destroy Israel's enemies. He will reign for 1,000 years.

As Zechariah 12:8-10 reveals: "In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.

"And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

"And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn."

And one shall ask Him, "What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends" (Zechariah 13:6).

Leaders across America whose organizations represent literally millions of people have told the nation of Israel, much like the wizard told Dorothy in Oz, "don't listen to that man behind the curtain," or in the current case, don't listen to the man in the White House.

The message came just hours after Barack Obama announced to the world Israel needs to return to its pre-1967 borders to appease Palestinians dedicated to the annihilation of the Jewish nation.

Obama made the statement in an address in advance of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's planned visit to the White House today. Netanyahu preceded the visit with a statement rejecting Obama's call for a Palestinian state based on Israel's pre-1967 borders, calling the lines "indefensible."

The message to Israel was in a full-page newspaper ad published today in Jerusalem by a coalition of American organizations coming together under the slogan "Israel, You're Not Alone.

"WE STAND WITH YOU," the Jerusalem Post ad states. "Mr. Prime Minister, you are not alone! Millions of Americans stand with you and Israel and we welcome you on your upcoming visit to the United States of America."

The ad is signed by dozens of leaders of major Christian and other organizations including Tim Wildman of American Family Association, Gov. Mike Huckabee, Focus on the Family founder James Dobson, now of Family Talk, Gen. William G. "Jerry" Boykin of Kingdom Warriors, Bill McCartney of Promise Keepers, Judge Roy Moore of the Foundation for Moral Law, Jimmy Draper of LifeWay Christian Resources, Rev. Rob Schenck of National Clergy Council, Dick and Rich Bott of Bott Radio Network and Jane Hansen-Hoyt of Aglow International.

The message of the ad, which appeared one day earlier in the Wall Street Journal, isn't complicated:

"We, the undersigned, encourage President Obama, the State Department, the Congress, and the whole of the United States of America to stand unwaveringly with Israel, without further sacrificing Israel's sovereignty, safety, or security."

It asserts that the United Nations "Peace Plan" actually is "not a plan for peace at all, but would ethnically cleanse 400,000 Jews from their homes and lands. No foreign country or U.N. resolution has the right to decide a nation's borders."

"We must stand with Israel at this critical time," said Mike Gottfriend of Team Focus, one of the originators of the idea. "We are thrilled that more than 50 Christian and Jewish leaders, who represent millions of Americans, have joined the ad and the effort."

Gottfriend is a former ESPN sports commentator and head coach in Cinncinnati, Kansas and Pittsburgh.

A news conference on the issue is set Monday at 1 p.m. Eastern time at the National Press Club with many of the leaders.

Gottfriend said members of Congress need to oppose Obama's remarks "immediately."

His plan, Gottfried said, would not only divide Jerusalem and the nation of Israel but make America's strongest ally in the region nearly indefensible.

"Who are we to change Israel's borders," asked Janet Porter, president of Faith2Action. "We must stand with Israel like never before."

On the website is information about the effort, including a video:

Porter told WND the ad is a response to Obama's "assault" on Israel.

Based on biblical references to the Jewish nation as the "apple of God's eye," she said, "I believe that to follow what the president would want puts both countries in peril."

She said the Palestinians from whom Obama is trying to obtain favor "do not recognize the right [of Israel] to exist. They despise her."

Even on a secular plane, without references to the biblical prophecies regarding Israel, she said, "No foreign country or U.N. resolution has a right to decide a nation's borders. In America, if we can tell Israel its borders, what keeps Dearborn from a U.N. resolution announcing 'Dearbornistan. It's absurd."

The newspaper ad said:

We stand with your right to secure Israel's borders without giving away additional land to your openly avowed enemies who do not recognize your right to exist. We recognize that former "land for peace" agreements such as the Gaza withdrawal that ravaged thousands of families from their homes, only served to increase terrorist attacks from even closer range, killing many innocent men, women, and children.

We recognize that the United Nations "peace plan" is NOT a plan for peace at all, but would ethnically cleanse 400,000 Jews from their homes and lands. No foreign country or U.N. resolution has the right to decide a nation's borders.

We acknowledge Jerusalem as Israel's God-ordained undivided capital, knowing that Israel's sovereignty will protect the holy sites of all faiths, rather than allowing them to come under control of Hamas terrorists who hate Jews and Christians alike.

We honor Israel as our greatest and most trusted friend and ally in the region, and are grateful for the vital intelligence and technological advances that have enhanced our own security. We believe Israel's ancient prophets who warned of dire consequencs to any nation who would divide your land.

Obama's request was for Israel to contract in size until it is within the borders that existed before the 1967 Six-Day War.

Obama and Netanyahu had a "useful" conversation, Obama reported after the meeting.

"We agreed there is a moment of opportunity that can be seized as a consequence of the Arab spring," Obama said.

He said it is important for the U.S. to support the development of freedom in the Middle East and northern Africa, where movements pressing for democracy have developed.

Netanyahu said, "We have an enduring bond of friendship between our two countries. … We share your hope and vision for the spread of democracy in the Middle East."

He said Israel wants peace.

"I think for there to be peace, the Palestinians will have to accept some basic reality. While Israel is prepared to make generous concessions for peace, it cannot go back to the 1967 lines."

Further, he said Israel cannot negotiate with a Palestinian organization backed by Hamas, which is recognized by the U.S. as a terror organization.

From A to Z: What's wrong with Obama's birth certificate?

A QUESTION OF ELIGIBILITY

Examine for yourself mounting evidence that president's document isn't genuine

After years of stonewalling and fighting in court to keep his long-form birth certificate under wraps, President Barack Obama has publicized an image of the document he claims should resolve his birthplace once and for all.

But is it the real deal?

In his speech announcing the birth certificate's release, Obama quickly tried to silence critical analysis of document:

"I know that there's going to be a segment of people for which, no matter what we put out, this issue will not be put to rest, but I'm speaking to the vast majority of the American people," Obama said. "We do not have time for this kind of silliness."

But Joseph Farah, editor and chief executive officer of WND, the only news agency that has waged a relentless investigative campaign on questions swirling around Obama's constitutional eligibility, warns those questions shouldn't be dismissed so quickly.

"The news media and the political establishment were quick to rush to judgment regarding Obama's eligibility in 2008, without any basis," Farah said. "It would be a big mistake for everyone to jump to a conclusion now based on the release of this document, which raises as many questions as it answers."

Some of those questions have already been resolved – such as rumors WND debunked claiming the name of the hospital on the document was fictitious – while others present significant challenges to accepting the birth certificate's validity.

Notably, a growing list of graphic artists and computer experts have examined the online birth certificate and have concluded the image has been altered.

For example, Karl Denninger, the former CEO of MCSNet, a Chicago networking and Internet company, who also told WND he voted for Obama, demonstrates "kerning" on the birth certificate, a lining up of letters routinely done by computers but impossible on typewriters of the 1960s, implying the document was computer generated, not photocopied.

Denninger explains that in the image above, of the name of the hospital, the "a" and the "p" share vertical space on the line, an example of "kerning," which only modern computers can do.

Denninger's work follows the opinion from another analyst, Ivan Zatkovich of Tampa-based eComp Consultants, which consults on intellectual property for telecommunications, Web publishing and e-commerce. Zatkovich has 28 years experience in computer science and document management and for more than 10 years has been an expert witness in federal court in both criminal and civil litigation.

Zatkovich's analysis of layers in the PDF file, while dispelling some purported anomalies on the document, nonetheless confirms others, leading him to the conclusion, "The content clearly indicates that the document was knowingly and explicitly edited and modified before it was placed on the web."

And KJCT-TV of Grand Junction, Colo., reported the opinion of graphic artist James Colby, who said, "There is no doubt it has been edited and quite significantly."

Several other factors bring the birth document's authenticity into question:

The objectivity of "experts" cited by the mainstream media to verify the birth certificate is suspect, including that of Fox News Channel's Jean-Claude Tremblay, who assured America they "should not be suspicious" of the document, but who, WND discovered, had heralded Obama's election victory in an online post.

Obama's posted birth certificate contains the same anomalies as a well-known forgery that claimed he was born in Kenya, suggesting the anomalous markings came from the same source. "How could Obama's 'real' birth certificate share these unique characteristics with an obvious forgery?" asks Farah. "For the life of me, I can't figure out an answer other than they were created by the same person or persons."
The birth certificate's reported delivering physician, Dr. David Sinclair, differs from previously published reports and even the myth-busting Snopes.com's original entry, which named Dr. Rodney T. West as the doctor of record.

Obama's purported birth certificate contains over a dozen differences in form from the verified, Hawaii copy of the birth certificate issued to the Nordyke twins, born the next day at the same reported hospital.

Another YouTube participant, 37, who identifies himself as orangegold1 and a computer image expert, posted a video trying to persuade watchers that the White House either was ignorant in scanning and posting a document, or was submarined by someone inside the walls who wanted people to be suspicious of the document:

His concerns rest with the layers that are in the document, and he claimed some of the images on the document actually were added via computer.
"I do this for a living," he said, adding that the document is "obviously faked."
The local registrar listed in the Nordyke twins' birth certificate is notably different than the local registrar on the Obama birth certificate.

Though Obama was born before the Nordyke twins, and though his birth was filed with the registrar three days before the twins' birth, Obama's purported birth certificate has a higher registration number.

The age of Obama's father, as listed on the document, conflicts with previously discovered documents about Barack Obama Sr.

There are no notations on the document indicating Obama's adoption by his Indonesian stepfather, Lolo Soetoro, as are often made – even replacing the name of the birth parents – when a child in the U.S. is adopted.

In addition, the SmokingGun.com website notes several additional irregularities with the Obama birth certificate that do not appear on the Nordyke twin's birth certificates:

In Box 3, "This Birth," there are two "Xs" above "Twin" and "Triplet" – why are these "Xs" here and what do they signify?

What is the meaning of the smudges in the Obama birth certificate in the box containing the name of the attending physician?

What is the significance of the numbers, seen vertically, on the right side of the Obama birth certificate?

Hawaii officials say they have Obama's original birth certificate and made copies for the president. One of the copies then was scanned and posted on the White House website.

But Denninger is among those who say there are still too many questions to simply examine an online image.

He contends, "There's only one way we're going to get the truth – a forensic document examiner is going to have to go look at the certificate and authenticate it. The real one – not a printout."

The White House had trumpeted the release of the document, calling it "proof positive" Obama was born in Hawaii, as if that would answer all of the questions about his presidential eligibility.

But even if Obama's Hawaiian birth were proven and verified, many contend the country's founders understood a "natural born Citizen" – as listed by the Article 2, Section 1, of the U.S. Constitution as a requirement to hold the office of president – to be a person born of two American parents.

Barack Obama Sr., who is listed as the father, was not a U.S. citizen.

The president himself even seemed to acknowledge the relevance of parental citizenship when he co-sponsored a resolution to address Sen. John McCain's presidential eligibility that implied a "natural born Citizen" must be born to "American citizen" parents.

"You may have thought Barack Obama ended the eligibility debate, and certainly the birth certificate debate," said Farah, "with his release of what purports to be his long-awaited, long-form document.

"But it's not over," he added. "Not by a long shot."

The "Certificate of Live Birth" document released by the White House today, if authentic, assures Americans that their president was born in Hawaii as he has said, according to two participants in a lawsuit who challenged the president's tenure in the Oval Office.

But they say it also proves he's ineligible under the Constitution's requirements to be president.

According to Mario Apuzzo, the attorney who argued the Kerchner vs. Obama case, and the lead plaintiff, retired Navy Cmdr. Charles Kerchner, the documentation reveals that Barack Obama Sr., a Kenyan national subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom, was the father when Barack Obama Jr. was born.

That, they say, would disqualify Obama because of the Founders' requirement in the Constitution that a president be a "natural born Citizen," commonly understood during the era of the beginnings of the United States to mean a citizen offspring of two citizen parents.

The Kerchner vs. Obama case, as have some others, challenged Obama on two grounds: that he had not proven his U.S. birth and that even if that was documented, he still needed to meet the requirements of being a "natural born Citizen."

That's in Article 2, Section,1, which states, "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President."

"They are going to have to face the music on this at some point," said Kerchner, whose allegations never were decided on their merits after the courts created a roadblock by determining Americans don't have "standing" to demand the Constitution's requirements be followed.

Attorney Mario Apuzzo agreed.

"Assuming that it's valid, that he's born in Hawaii," he said, "It confirms who his father was. His father was not a citizen."

He said in American jurisprudence "there is not one case that says being born to an alien parent creates a natural born citizen."

But Apuzzo said the White House simply wants to ignore the Constitution's demand.

"It doesn't say born," he said. "They want to steamroll over 'natural born.'"

He said the problem, however, is getting a court to decide the dispute he raised. The seven or eight dozen cases brought so far largely have been turned back without a review of their actual merits.

Courts decided that plaintiffs don't have "standing," or an injury or possible injury from a violation of the U.S. Constitution, so the cases are thrown out.

Apuzzo said, however, with the flood of state proposals being considered at the legislative level, at some point a law specifically will give a plaintiff standing, and then a dispute could be argued in the state courts.

Kerchner also said it is inevitable that the courts will have to make a ruling on the arguments.

"The legal definition of the legal term of art will have to be litigated because of all the confusion that Obama and the Progressive/Socialists have introduced into that term," he told WND. "It will take a Supreme Court decision, a congressional investigation and hearing under oath, or both, to settle it. I gave the Congress the chance and asked for congressional investigations. They ignored me. I sue[d] Obama and the Congress and the courts ducked the issue. But they are going to have to face the music on this at some point."

He's been involved in a series of ads that have run over the dispute:

They quote Vattel's 1758 "The Law of Nations," a document used widely by the American Founders, where it states in Vol. 1, Ch. 19, Section 212: "natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens."

His organization, ProtectOurLiberty.org, also explains that under the British Nationality Act of 1948, when Obama was born in 1961 he was a British subject.

The goal, according to Apuzzo, was to avoid a president with divided loyalties – to America and to another nation to which his father or mother owed loyalty.

"This unity of jus soli (soil) and jus sanguinis (descent) at the time of birth assure that one is born with sole natural allegiance (obligation of fidelity and obedience to government in consideration for protection that government gives)," the organization explains.

"Our Constitution requires unity of U.S. citizenship and sole natural allegiance from birth only for the president and commander in chief of the military, given the unique nature of the position, a position that empowers one person to make decisions for our national survival. It is required of the president because such a status gives the American people the best chance that a would-be president will not have any foreign influences which because of conflict of conscience can most certainly taint his/her critical decisions made when leading the nation.

"The Founding Fathers emphasized that, for the sake of the survival of the constitutional Republic, the office of president and commander in chief of the military be free of foreign influence and intrigue. It is the 'natural born Citizen' clause that gives the American people the best chance to keep it that way."

The U.S. Supreme Court effectively killed the Kerchner case when it was before the justices with one terse statement: "The motion of Western Center for Journalism for leave to file a brief as amicus curiae is granted. The petition for a writ of certiorari is denied."

Apuzzo said his clients were hurt by the court's ruling, as was Obama.

"This decision did not help Mr. Obama," Apuzzo said at the time. "It did not bring legitimacy to his office. Mr. Obama does not have legitimacy of office by the court or by the consensus of the nation, because many people question whether he is a natural born citizen. How does our nation go forward with this kind of result?"

"This matter should have been addressed by the media and political parties early in the spring of 2008 during the primaries. It wasn't," wrote Kerchner when the case was developing. "Congress should have addressed this when asked and when constitutionally it was required to. It didn't. The courts should have addressed the merits of the questions when appealed to early on. They didn't. Everyone in our system of government chose appeasement over confrontation and punted the ball to someone else."

"Now it is far worse," Kerchner continued. "The Supreme Court has chosen appeasement and inaction over action and dealing with the issue and questions openly in a court of law under the rules of evidence and law. Our constitutional republic and legal system is now compromised and broken."

Apuzzo commented that the new release from Obama proves his ineligibility because before that, there had been assumptions about the identity of his father. There had been statements that Barack Obama Sr., who returned to Kenya to his first wife after abandoning Obama's mother and his son, was the father, but no documentation to affirm that.

At the time the case was rejected, Apuzzo warned, "If he runs again in 2012, people will want to know. … The issue is not going away. … You're going to have a lot of states that are going to be on this, they will want to see that birth certificate."

In fact, lawmakers in Oklahoma are scheduled to vote within a day or two on a proposal that would require verification of eligibility for candidates on the state's ballot.

Lawmakers in Arizona earlier adopted a requirement, but it was vetoed by Gov. Jan Brewer. Other states with pending plans include Pennsylvania and Louisiana.
